WELCOME TO CLOSTER

Closter is a small but modern town in Bergen County. It is just one of the towns that make up “The Northern Valley”. It is nestled in between Alpine, Demarest, and Norwood and houses approximately 8500 residents. Closter is approximately 10 miles from the George Washington Bridge. The Northern Valley school system has been highly rated consistently year after year. Please refer to Niche for school rankings. Closter has its own Elementary school (Hillside elementary school), its own middle school (Tenakill Middle School), and shares a high school (Northern Valley Demarest Regional High School) with Haworth and Demarest.

Closter is also known for its modern new downtown. The New Closter Plaza has wonderful shops such as Whole Foods, Lululemon, Starbucks, Orange Theory, Target, A French Brasserie, Petco, Lavelli Salon, Mixology, Shoe inn, Cycle bar, Orange Theory, Gary’s Wine and Market, Bareburger, Super Juice Nation and more. The north side of Closter’s downtown features Hometown Hardware, Goldberg’s Bagels, CVS, Patisserie Florentine, Isabella’s fine foods, and much more.
